With all due respect, there's no need for two threads.

You're going to have to involve yourself in the decision-making process. If you're content with an anonymous stranger deciding the fate of your room for years to come, that's your choice, but are you really willing to accept any combination of pink/brown that is suggested? What is or isn't "a good idea" is completely subjective in this case.

If it were me, the first thing I would do is go to a paint store, grab a bunch of sample cards of pinks and browns, start comparing them side by side, then begin the process of elimination. You obviously have a general vision of how you want this room to look, so let the colors 'speak' to you. Try to narrow down your choices, then get samples of each and test them in the room. That should help you determine whether or not you'll be satisfied with the combination of colors. If you're not satisfied, you should at least gain a better idea of which color(s) you want to tweak, and in which 'direction' (lighter or darker).

It sure sounds like you want to rush this, and I would advise against that. Selecting the colors, as well as the actual painting process of said colors, should be done with patience if you want good results that you'll be happy with. Art cannot be rushed!

This is just my opinion, although it's probably not what you wanted to hear.

Jay is right on.
Not likly someones going to be showing you any room painted with those two colors for you to look over.
An odd ball combination, but if it looks good to you then go for it.
I hope your not painting these colors to get ready to sell.

What Jay and Joe said.

Even if you see a room you like and want to match the colors, you need to get samples and try them in your room.
Different lighting can dramatically change colors.

I always figure these types of questions to be troll posts. Even if someone were able to suggest shades of pink and brown and you used them, there would be no guarantee that you would like the colors because someone on DIY suggested them. If this is indeed a real question, my advice is to go to a trusted paintstore and talk to an experienced "color matcher" at the store. I am blessed to have a wonderful lady at my local SW store who is a whiz at mixing and matching colors.
