black oil based solid stain

I am going to stain my pressure treated fence and planned on using Ben Moore oil base black solid stain but the guy the guy at store told me there is a problem mixing this and the black pigment doesnt' absorb into the solid oil base stain but rather sticks to the side. He had about 8 can lined up to be sent back to Ben Moore. He said there is not a problem with the latex but I would rather use oil because I think it lasts longer. Just wondering if anyone has used another brand of black solid (not semi-solid) oil stain successfully?

I don't know about the solid stain- at that point it is pretty much a opaque paint anyway.
Just a heads up- black is one of the toughest to keep on something outside- it heats up in the sun so much that it can bake itself off. And also fades fast.
I would either consider a full paint- and start with a slow oil primer for penetration, or a semi , again so it penetrates.
