benjamin moore paint at Orchard Supply

The 2 cheapest lines of paint I saw at OSH were Concepts and Imagine.

Anyone here use either of these before?

Is imagine a Ben Moore label? Concept is thei new, low-end consumer box store type product. Makes me nervous. I have no firsthand experience with it though.

Sherwin Williams and Ben Moore paint store spring specials should be happening soon for 40 percent off if you can wait.

Didn't know Orchard Supply Hardware had Canukistan stores. Learn something everyday. I remember when there was only one. It was privately owned and offered great advice and nails by the pound, etc.

Sds- I am assuming canuk- not because of Orchard, but because of the paint lines. Really just a guess..

Looked it up and Concept is available domestically and especially through Orchard Supply Hardware (a West Coast only if not California only home improvement chain) in California. One supposes it is available elsewhere in the country. They also carry the full line of Ben Moore paints including Aura.

Everything I read made no secret of the fact that although the lowest tier on the product totem pole it was priced and being marketed to take on BEHR Premium. Reviews I read like it better which is, of course, no surprise. I guess even Ben Moore has succombed and is suggesting it is "primer and paint" in one. (Yes I did cry) It does use the same pigments and color codes as Aura which is interesting? I guess this might help paint retailers justify the cost of tinting system?

Some compared it to the old SuperSpec but that was mainly a contractor product and marketed mainly to contractors. If it performs as well as SS did I guess it might be worth a try. I thought EcoSpec replaced that line though.

Oh well, that is what I know. At least with more or less complete line of Ben Moore paints availed in the same store the consumer has the option of starting at the bottom. At HD, Ben Moore's bottom is the top of the line.

Imagine is also a low-end product from Intl-X. I couldn't find much more about it besides its price point.

Here that is the niche that either Ultra Spec or "Ben" would be in. Wonder if it is just relabeling for there or what..
