Aura Satin for cabinets...your thoughts??

I've been using WB satin Impervo on my kitchen cabinets. I ran out and my husband went to Ace to pick up more paint. The Ace guy told him they are not carrying Impervo anymore and to try the Aura. So he came home with 2 qts of aura satin.

I started using it and now I am not sure I should continue. Is this an ok paint to finish the cabinets with? Should I return it and get something else? They don't carry Advance anywhere around here, but there is a SW close by. I've already opened one can.

Thoughts?

I like Aura over WB imp- but it is kind of tricky to use because of it's fast dry. I usually add ( into my cut bucket- not supply) just a splash of water and maybe equal part of latex extender ( BM makes one, or XIM's) . No more than 10% , probably more like 5%.
Once you get the hang of it, the other thing is what is called blocking - or being sticky. Aura needs to cure to get beyond this , and that can take weeks. As long as that is known, not such a big deal.
I have used it many times on trim and WW.

I don't like SW's Pro Classic WB as much, but if you do go that way, get the semi. The satin at SW is too flat IMO.

Brushjocky-- thanks! I am happy it is ok for my situation. I didn't have any problems brushing/rolling it on the cabinets and I think it covers better than the impervo I was using.
It's been a day and a half of drying and I can tell the cabinets with Aura are a not as hard as the cabinets I did with the last bit of impervo. Good to know this will get better with time.

I have floetrol on hand...would that be ok to add?

If you are doing ok with it- continue! I personally don't like floetrol ( once I discovered XIM's extender) , but I know many that use it. It will work.
BM's extender is actually made from the same resins that Aura has- so it is very tuned to the product.
