Any ideas to reduce ORANGY finish without stripping it first?

Because it is too ORANGY I am wanting to change the appearance of my good oak Thomasville (1990ish) furniture without having to strip the finish first -
anyone have experience using a glaze or a semi-transparent stain that might work?
