Advice needed on staining wood fence
I have built the fence with treated lumber a few month ago. I'm thinking about staining it.
One thing I'm curious is that very few of the 6' fences here are stained at all. There all lots of them and almost all were left to turn gray. I really like the yellowish new look of my fence a lot, and hate the idea of it turning gray within a couple of years. I wonder why people are not staining their fence here. Some of them surely have the money to build exquisite fence, but once turned gray, I'd say doesn't look nearly as good as my quite basic but new fence. So I wonder why they didn't just spend some extra and had it stained?
Back to the topic of actually staining. I really like the look of the picture I attached to this post. My question is, what kind of stain is used on this fence? Is it solid or semi-solid (I think it doesn't look transparent) ? Any recommendation on a specific product that can achieve similar result?
