acrylic paint/water based clear

Is it possible to add a touch of acrylic paint (to add a little fun color) to my water based clear for wooden furniture???

Hey Jules,
I don’t see why not, the vehicle of both is the same.....water, however I would suggest adding a little tint color instead. You can find it at most arts and craft stores. This is a good time to experiment using a very small portion of the clearcoat and color.

(Don't tell anyone Jules, but I've done it..)

Do samples first..

I gave my set of liquid Dr. Martens watercolors to a friend that made furniture. He got some great results using the watercolors as a stain and then clear coating.

You might find that glazing liquids will take pigments better. Hobby and art supply stores would be worth a visit in addition to your paint store.
