accidently got latex paint on enamel gutters
 

A friend, I hired to paint my house trim, accidently got paint on my gutters and then decided to paint them, too. The trouble is, they are the baked-on enamel type which don't need to be painted. Now they have paint, no primer and I'd like to know if the paint can safely be removed. If not, what should I do before the paint starts to crack and peel?
