The absolute worst deck sealer award

Another rule of thumb is to stay away from whatever is flying off the shelves at Home Depot.

Behr, Thompsons, Mills Pride, whatever.

sikkens srd
this is the best product i have used, no peeling at all
the stain does not have a glossy finsh and you can tell when it needs a fresh coat if it starts looking faded or dried out.
with the exteme climate changes here in canada your deck would need a coat every 2 or 3 years
*do not use any sikkens cetol products, they will peel, srd only!

ONE coat of Cuprinol has always worked well. But don't build it up with two or three coats. Good idea to always power wash first.

what's a good product that just seals the deck and doesn't colour it?

True clears are hard to find
I'd recommend the Wolman's raincoat
Comes in your choice, oil or latex
