Variable voltage is the only way to go. What's the name of that battery? I have two and ones a year old so I'm gonna replace it soon.

I quit back in 1976 cold turkey. Cigarettes were going to 45 a pack and I decided it was too much money to be burning up.

Good luck with your new venture but I am curious, are you certain you read the opening post?

I can't read.

Not my forte as you will find to simply go with the flow. May take me a few more days to get to that first post.

and on another note, i'm in Houston. I noticed you're a fellow Texan.

Electronic cigarettes that give you nicotine but no smoke. Google vaping.

I smoked through college and for a few years after. One day I was climbing a single flight of stairs at work and was just devastated winded at the top, and said "you know what, this is the stupidest thing I've ever done," and quit cold turkey on the spot.

A few slidebacks when drinking over the years, but it pretty much stuck.

If any of you smokers are thinking about trying the ecig DONT go to the store and try Blu or any of that crap. Go a real ecig store and get the proper setup. You'll never smoke a regular cig again.

Seriously, smokes now cost more than weed used to. I quit cold when they went to $1.05.

Truth be told, vaping or not, it's still just junkie addict behavior. Sure, it's less worse without the smoke and related cancers, but it's still a piss-poor way to treat your body.

I applaud you for being able to put down your cigarettes cold turkey and never look back but not all of us have that kind of strength.

For those of us who don't, it offers us an alternative.

Nonsense, it's a chemical dependency, one not impossible to end. Use the patches and stop wasting the money on being a junkie, fancy tech or not.

It's one thing to have an opinion. I respect that.

It is quite another to be rude.

Sometimes tough love helps, and the truth hurts. Being a defeatest and just saying you're not strong enough is not going to get you anywhere -- if you want to quit, you absolutely can, it just takes the desire and will to do what it takes.

If you want to keep smoking, by all means, do; but if you WANT to quit, you can't have the attitude that you're not strong enough or that it's impossible.
