Are You A Quitter?

About 13 month months ago I put down my cigarettes and started vaping.

Since I had been a pretty heavy smoker for way too many years and tried quitting a gazillion times I was pleasantly surprised when it actually worked this time. Surprisingly, the smell of smoke bothers me a bit now.

How many of you are former smokers? How long ago did you quit? Did you quit cold turkey or by some other method?

Laid them down 3 years ago cold turkey after 53 years of being a sucker. I got tired of the coughing and high taxes. Some people are slow learners so congratulations to you for being faster.

Yes, I saw the movie - Cold Turkey - sometime around 1970.

I smoked for 30 years, then used Kodiak for 20 some odd years, I quit 3 years ago, just put it down. Every time I got the urge I would grab a peppermint Life Saver, worked like a charm.

I am always blown away by those people who can just lay them down.

I smoked as a teenager but was too stupid to know how to inhale. Justed wanted to look cool with one in my mouth I guess. Went to a trades/high school and my friends went to biz school so I quit when I got new non smoking friends. Mom quit when the Doc told her he was going to cut her toes off from gangrene if her circulation got worse. She quit cold turkey along with GrandPa and he rolled his own and never had filters.

Smoked for 25 years and gave them up many years ago. Just decided I wasn't going to be controlled by a little stick of nicotine. Cold Turkey with the first three days of going through the motions with an unlit one. Then bubble gum.

Its not easy at first but you just have decide not to give in to the craving. Which by the way is not a constant thing. It comes in waves then you forget about it. Mind over matter.

I'm a former smoker turned vaper too.

That's an awesome looking battery you've got there! Not a big fan of that tank because its a pain to fill. The best tank I've found is the Smok Tech Tumbler the things a beast and holds twice the liquid.

Quitter here too .. I think it was 96 or 97. too lazy to get my butt up to go to the gas station for some when I ran out after a night out. figured it was as good a time as any. I tried the patch, but never got to the end. have some awesomely vivid dreams while using em though.

Cool tank! I go back and forth on which tanks I like but I do prefer variable voltage batteries. This new wooden one is my favorite so far.
