Wish list for somebody to invent.
I just spent the morning thawing out some washing machines. They are in little attached laundry rooms on some rentals and by the time we realized there was not enough heat for -20 they were froze up. Seems like a waste of $ to heat that space full time and if someone could put out a freezeless washing machine I believe I would buy a few. It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to do and I think they would be a big hit. washer in a garage, shed, or alcove in the yard? The dryers seem to do just fine in the cold weather. HS.
Just stick a 60-100W lightbulb inside the machine. Works fine on boats. That's underneath, in the back, someplace out of reach of water. Won't keep the supply lines from freezing.
There shouldn't be any water in dryers.
Lots of cold weather up here.
Can't see it being a hit for people who have money.
Chances are they would rather stay indoors to huff around laundry.
It was bad enough when I lived in an Apt and had to walk back and forth in the elements.
