Well, I don't if anyone can answer this, but I figured I would give it a try.
I am a DJ, kinda just a hobby one that does 2 or 3 gigs every few months and have a gig coming up in January that NEEDS a somewhat decent wireless mic. Its going to be use for prize give aways, and games for a company party. I have a few nice Peavey wired mics, and 400ft of XLR cables, but I can't have that being dragged across the room.
Had anyone had any luck with these mics? Or used them.
Audio-Technica ATW-252 Handheld Wireless Microphone.
I've heard Audio-Technica is a good brand. Right? I need them to be built decently and withstand some use, and have a decent range and sound. If they cut out, or are turned off, no loud static or hiss.
My budget it $100 max since I kinda just do gigs as a hobby. In fact, I'm going to have to scrape up $100 before the gig. I know people are going to suggest a Shure, or Sennheiser, but I can't spend $300 on a
I also found a few other mics by Nady. Don't know if they're that good though. I heard Audio Technica is supposed to be better.
If it was mine I would spend the e travel $ and go with shure . They are good mics. If your budget is tight believe it or not radio shack mics that look like shure sm58's are pretty good. I have heard they are actually shure sm58's that didn't pass shure's standards.
