Wind tunnel

Did that fix it ross? Or did you have to move the thingamajig over to the other doohickey to get it to work?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Thanks DM! :
However: I was advised (by much, "sager" minds - no offense intended!)
to fasten the "thinga-ma-gig" to the "watch-cha-ma-thing" and then
(And Only Then!) screw it to the thingy!
(Don't know if the use of a "doohickey" is appropriate in this situation!
I'll consult with the "powers that be" (if I can get their libations out of
their hands, for a moment!)
You had enough time to respond to the problem in my house (timely and
concise, I my add! )
Where's the wind-tunnel, the hyper-drive, the anti-gravitational device,
and my other "paltry" requests!
(I still have that problem in my house - now, it's manifesting it's self
with different symptoms - what shall I do!?!)
As always! regards from the mystical, land of remodeling "H+ll"!

All of your other project concerns and problems sound pretty basic and simple and can be discussed in the new sub-forum "Basic and Simple " (not available in all areas yet) Or maybe in the "Basic and Simple and Cheap" sub-forum ....soon to be announced, (maybe... if it doesn't cost too much) ....so you may or may not want to ask over there. See how good we are here?

DM

P.S. That doohickey will work just fine, hit it with the hammer harder....

Thanks DM!
However, in this case -
I think you have to use a "wat-cha-ma-callit" and a "thinga-ma-jig" to
screw the "thingy" in.
I don't know if the use of a "doohickey" would be appropriate, in this case -
from my profuse and accurate pictures, I would hope you saw the proximity
of, more than one, "what's-it's"!
Surely, this might compound my problem!?!

(By the way - where's the hyper-drive and the anti-gravitational device and, my other "paltry" demands! - I mean requests! )

Regards!

I hate to be that girl, DM, but the plans Ross needs are actually to be found in the 'Too Lazy to Google it Myself' forum and also in the 'How do I do it without doing ANY of the things you are going to suggest' forum.

I gotta look up that post where the OP thought 'doo-hicky' was a technical term..... classic.

Surly is acceptable.

While I don't 'Kid' sometimes I do get the facts slightly wrong:

Another good tip even Bob Villa would never want to share: Whenever a doo-hicky and thingamajig are not staying together well enough, or it just does not work, just add more duct tape. If it's suppose to move, WD-40 does the trick.

Yeah! RS
Also, maybe "baling wire" or, a coat-hanger!

coat hangers are a god send. I send my clothes to get drycleaned more often then I need just so I can get those wire hangers.

Got it up to 150 mph - wind tunnel won!
Since this is a "full-featured" "DIY" site -
We've got to bid a job at Alpha Centauri (don't ask, it's a little "out of our
normal stomping grounds").
So what I need, is plans/specs for a good "faster than light"/ hyper drive.
You know - something we can pick up all the required parts at the local
"Big Box, Apron/Vest, Hardware store" (we're on a budget - money IS a
factor!).
I have plans for the one I built. Did the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs.

Everyone knows parsecs are a measure of distance. How's that gonna help the OP?

"Parsecs"!?!
Everyone knows that a parsec equals 3.26163 light-years.
Jeesh!
Can't we get back to something important - like, I've got a problem with
my house - what is the solution!?!
(Sure - this is a "DIY" site - sure it is!)
Sorry, I can't post anymore pictures (they don't trust me with a camera,
anymore!)
RF
(Who cares about the "OP"!?! - I have problems and issues - which should
be addressed!!!)
