Wind Map

I seen this posted on another forum a while back and thought it was pretty cool. http://hint.fm/wind/

Check out the gallery to see Sandy and other weather events.

Wind Map

I've known of it since it first went live but it still amazes me. Thanks for the reminder. Just think if we could capture more of the energy.

Wind Map

Thanks kwik....that is neat....I'll be sharing it with a few friends.....

Notice the high concentration of wind in the DC area? I hear it gets worse during election time....

I know everyone grips about California...but...besides the fact that I'm allowed to do a lot more of my own work compared to other states....California does it's fair share of taping into natural resources....

If your ever driving out near Palm Springs....the view from the fwy is a site to behold...

Even if you are on the right track, you will still get run over if you just sit there.

Wind Map

There are lots of wind farms ever expanding on the prairie now. Some do not like the look. I think the turbines are rather cool looking.

One interesting thing. Where there are many of them, they wack doppler weather radar and this is problematic in tornado country. I guess they are programming in pattern recognition that recognizes their new wind patterns.

I saw a cute little backyard wind generator featured recently.
