Wii games

We just bought a Wii for my girls for x-mas. So, it's me, my wife and two girls that are going to be playing. We got a remote with the games and got another with the Wii play package.
My question is on the games we all want to play simultaneously like Mariocart and supermario, we will need two more remotes..correct??
I seen the thin remote for $39, and a more rounded around the sides remote for $20.00. Would the cheaper one work alright???
Thanks
Barry

On the Box of the game it will say how many players can play. Like Mario Cart and Supermario(the new one) you just need the remote for HOW MANY people will play. Some games require the Nunchuck which you got when you got the WII..so i take it you only have 1 right. SO it that case for some games(well kinda all) you can only play 1 person since it requires you to hook up the nunchuck before you can proceed.
Some games like Party_____ cant think of the name . or like the game that came with the WII that has tennis, baseball, bowling and so on then you can play more player with out the nunchuck but you will have to take turns.
I dont have my games in front of me to tell you which ones.

Good luck and have FUN!

You can also link to the internet thru the Wii and find a large amount of games to download to the wii...I love this feature as it has great gan=mes cheap($5) and a lot of them are old school (Dig Dug, Marios, Donkey Kong, etc). You can also get other great games for all ages...You will need to hook to router either thru cable or wifi...Easy to do!

I would get four remotes with chucks just in case...Be sure to get battery packs and charge unit as batteries go fast!! Worth the investment IMO!! Be wary of off market sales as controlers may be defective (I know this firsthand). Oh, and there are better sensor bars for expanded range for cheap. It's gonna cost you but the rewards of family fun time are well worth it to this guy!!

Have fun!!

Yep charging station is the way to go!

Whatever you do, make sure you don't buy controllers made by any company other than Nintendo. I'm not even sure if this is an issue with Wii, but it's like a cardinal rule as far as videogame controllers go...only buy the controllers made by the makers of the platform.

I bought a charging pack last night, do I need to buy anything else, or can I hook the charging pack to the remotes with what comes with the "Wii" console???
In other words do i need to buy rechargeable batteries too??

actually I meant I bought a charging "station",,Not pack
But the same question applies, just subsitute "station" for "pack"
on my previous post (question)
Thanks
Barry
