Who's getting this storm?
we got about 10" of wet, heavy, slushy, wet, snwblowerclogging snow.
I now have a small collections of frozen iceballs ( softballish size ) at the end of my driveway.
was not able to clear those as the wife was away till a short time ago and I got to hang with the 2 yo tonight.
I think I'll suit up now and see what I can do.

Good luck and have fun. Hopefully the snowplow doesn't go down your street. lol
We're at about 1" or so, but with heavy winds.

Who's getting this storm?
NASTY! At least we only got a blizzard, no rain, or freezing rain, or wet snow, just the soft stuff, and lots of it. Close to 2 feet in some areas (drifts) and I'd say at least half a foot in the "low" spots. Good hour and a half to shovel my driveway. Was so sweaty and hot even with my house being 12 degrees I was still very hot when I was done. Purposely turned off the heat completely before starting to shovel all of that. It was not really cold outside though despite this storm. When I checked it was only -7. A bit warmer and we would have been seeing the really nasty wet stuff.
From all the power outages I'm guessing Quebec got hit pretty bad too. I monitor telecommunication equipment spread out in that area as well as here in Northern Ontario. Ontario did not have as many outages at least not in the North. The south did seem to have more. Power outages in winter must suck when they last for hours. Makes me really want to look at getting a generator for that one time I may need it.

Who's getting this storm?
We had an ice storm here a few years ago on Christmas day.
It was so bad there was not a telephone pole left standing for miles around.
We had no power for 10 days. We had to drive 1-1/2 hours to a friends house just to take a shower.

Who's getting this storm?
I just got done talking to my sister she live in Wisconsin and she have to borrow my diesel powered snowblower that the only thing she want to use to slug out the wet snow.
Her snowblower engine blew up and she cussed at me want to use my diesel unit I told her go for it and for the amount of snow it was about 8 inches wet snow it was pretty dense what she told me and the tempture was unuseal warm when the storm arrive it was at + 1 C then after that it fall down slow and steady now it is about -8 C now ( about 17 F or so)
To make it worst her jeep fail to run properly the transfer case will not lock in 4WD and she have to use my truck for a while ( I did warn her about my 10 speed tranny so she will have to remember the shift pattern )
Merci,
Marc

"Boom" Does it still hurt?? This is where you get to say ' Kiss my A**" without offending anyone.
Trust me...you can have all the ice you want. I don't neccessarily LOVE skating all that much. In fact I went many many years without putting the blades on. Its just that if you can't beat em, may as well join em. The winter passes much quicker if you're active.
I'll take a swim over a skate anyday

Hurt??
Naw!
I'd rather take a swim, too!
At least; what I'm working on now (bathroom) is inside!
It's supposed to be upper 30's here, today.

The wind is still carrying on here.
The only good thing about winter is that snow leaves footprints so you can say to yourself " who the hell was on my porch in the middle of the night"

At any rate the prints are not overly huge so that means the sneak is not too big either..I think..

Smart cat!
The place I'm working on has a cat.
He doesn't seem to mind the cold.
Nice cat - my buddy!
(I bring him cans of Tuna, sometimes - no wonder he likes me!)
That's the least I can do; for encroaching, on his domain!
