When to wash your hands first (in the bathroom)

Do you not worry unless your hands are black? How about a coat of cement dust - is brushing some off with your hands good enough? Do you just not make direct contact? Do you figure you'll take a shower in a few hours so it doesn't matter? I'm never sure what to do.

You mean as opposed to washing them in the kitchen sink?

I mean before touching...yourself. To go to the bathroom. Because they say to wash afterwards but sometimes I want to wash before.

Been using the hands free method for years. All the "soap" that comes out of dispensers is this foam stuff that does not clean your hands anyway. I am too busy to worry about these invisible bugs that can make you sick. I certainly will wash my hands before working on something like a piece of white aluminum siding because once you mark it up it can be hard to clean.

If I am outside, and got my hands pretty dirty, I will wash / rinse them with the water hose first before going in. (Gotta open the door knob somehow without getting it filthy) Then, depending how dirty my hands are, wash one more time once I get in, and of course, once more afterwards.

Ayuh,... I don't worry if my hands are black with grease, or most anything else I run into in my work,... gas, diesel, oil, asphalt, antifreeze, whatever..
But,...
I've had some Serious pain when workin' in the kitchen, 'n havin' to go...

If yer grindin' Horseradish, DON"T touch yerself without a thorough hand washin'...
If yer choppin' up Hot peppers, DON"T touch yerself without a thorough hand washin'...

I do network installation as part of my job. My co-worker and I stopped for a whizbreak, and I washed my hands first. His comment was "Damn, you must be awful proud of that thing."

Well, I just call those people extremely clean. I wish we had those types in the restaurant industry.

I have caught myself washing my hands, and then having to pee, but I think the peeing is an afterthought from the water flow. Studies have shown that people who have a difficult time starting, do better if they first turn on the water in the sink; the sound, I guess, helps.

OP, I hope you manage to figure out the solution to this most serious conundrum you're facing.
