What is the minimum wage in your area? Where I live, its about $10.50/hr and student painters get paid about $8-10 per hour. Makes sense though until you can a) become adept and rolling and cutting b) trusted to be able to work without supervision and c) trusted to be left alone in a clients home. When I first started doing this stuff, I was happy for any work where I could learn and today, I still love learning...so for a short period, I would expect a lesser pay.

If you're not happy with the pay, we both know it will reflect in your workmanship. I've had numerous part time jobs over the years, the best ones were the ones "this is what you make, your option on how fast you move, of course you still don't do a good job, your gone.

Is this cash? $7 cash is equal to $10+ payroll.

Your labor is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

Yes, thats the attitude I get from a lot of kids. What happened over the generations? Work to train is a great opportunity, sometimes better than school, being hands on.
My daughter swore her boyfriend was a worker,,,Pffft
