Vermiculite insulation?

So, yesterday I went to do a roof repair. It was very hot and humid and the sweat was dripping off me. After I finished the roof patches I went inside to repair the wall and ceiling. I cut into the ceiling and removed the lath & plaster which just crumbled and I ended up with a pile of wet vermiculite insulation right on my head and face. I wiped it away and carried on.

I came home and thats all I remember. My ex wife called me this morning and asked me if I was still feeling dizzy??? I asked her what she was talking about and she told me she had dropped by. Apparently she was here for over an hour and a half talking with me. She said she asked me questions and I replied with totally unrelated answers, like I was in a trance.

I woke up this morning completely oblivious to her being here and no memory of yesterday afternoon or evening. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Was it the heat or the insulation?

I have been working in attics for years and never had that happen before, mind you, it was dry and this stuff was soaked. Is it possible that the wet insulation penetrated the pores on my face because I was sweating?

Heat Stroke is what I'm thinking lucky you didn't fall off the roof.

Still think your body was overheating , no mention of shortness of breath

which could be mold ( my son had bad mold allergies as a kid ).

You need to cool down by any mean possible .

I've watched my wife (RN) revive a passed out heat stroke victim with just a

rolled up towel soaked from the bottom of a cooler and wrapped over the

victims neck.

The vermiculite may have contributed by slowing your sweating , which

helped along your overheating and possible mild case of heat stroke, I dunno.

Maybe your like me and starting to feel your oats once in a while.
