unsafe adapter cord

I found this adapter on ebay, it has a 30 amp male plug with a 15 amp female plug, I would think this is unsafe. It is item #160437416168

Yes it is unsafe unless it has a built in fuse or circuit breaker for no more than 15 amps (one 15 amp female receptacle) or 20 amps (two or more female receptacles already attached).

But once in awhile someone has a need for such a gadget and will buy one without a breaker if he cannot find one with a breaker.

A gadget with two male plugs connected together is highly unsafe.

These are very common in the RV industry. When installed, you just can't use the AC.

unsafe adapter cord

Unfortunately I do believe I saw a male to male cable on a website some were now that I think about it. I will try to find it so you can see, The one thing that I found strange about all of these cords is they look factory made. I would have thought there would be regulations, esspecialy about the male to male one.I just found the male to male, also on ebay item #180566160685

male-to-male cords are commonly know as "suicide cords" and "widowmakers" since if one end is plugged in, the other end is live.
the most common use i've ever heard of is for backfeeding your house electric from a generator, instead of going through a transfer switch
l don't care what the application, they are a bad idea

Yes I agree that they are highly unsafe, I was concerned about the 30 to 15 amp plug but the double male plug is absurd!
