Hipsters... I was picturing folks riding fixed-gear bicycles. Those are hipsters...

Oh look, here's one now:



The site you listed has Dwell magazine pics - I subscribe to that magazine - It's a good magazine. Some of the pictures certainly do give a picture of loneliness on the part of the homeowner. While I love the architecture of the houses in Dwell, the pictures of people in them, often looking unhappy, make me wonder. Especially their melancholy kids sporting a frown and Paul Frank gear. Strange indeed.

Yeah, I know. I caught H from my ex too who pointed out the people on the site were spoiled yuppies and not hip to anything at all.
