Is it unheard of to use on the inside?

It would probably make a house too airtight. That can cause lung problems.

I've seen insulaters insulate, then cover the walls with plastic, even though the house has been housewrapped. Don't understand the theory, as the insulation already
has the vapor barrier.
I don't see what good housewrap would do on the inside.
