those neighbors stories....?

how about a story section for everybody to tell about that neighbor that you could just punch..... in the mouth ...or the few that you would do anything for...

No problems here either. Neighbor to the west is an Ironman tri-athelete. Nice quiet, unassuming guy. He was a tunnel rat in Vietnam...Has told some very interesting stories.
Neighbor to the east is a single lady, works for the school...keeps her house immaculate inside and out. Past her is my wifes aunt and uncle and on the other side of them is a friend of mine who I have know since 1st grade
Across the street is the neighborhood "grouchy old man". I have no problems with him as when I had my plow truck I used to plow his driveway. He thinks the world of me.

We are on good terms with everyone on our street. At very least friendly wave when we go by and the better ones...parties at each others houses.

On one side of me is a retired postal worker in his late 70's who has lived in that house for almost 50 years. Mows his lawn at least 3x a week.

On the other side is a younger couple with three kids - two in HS and one graduated, I think. Of course they all live at home, because apparently kids don't move out anymore.

Definitely hit hte neighbor lottery.

In my old place, I lived in a duplex, and the attached neighbors were an older couple. The wife had a thing for teddy bears... a DISTURBING thing. Every square inch of space in thier apartment was teddy bears. Display cases everywhere, shelves, along the stair runners, teddy bears teddy bears teddy bears.

Still, nice folks, if that's the worst you get I guess you consider yourself lucky.

I am sandwiched on both sides by Dayton police officers. So I remain on my best behavior.

The young one to the north is a health zealot. Coffee & donuts would be offensive to him for all the wrong reasons.

Then give him a case of water and a can of protein mix.....and a mirror so he can look at himself....

And some of you will see the irony in my comments....

To my north I once had the Wicked Witch of the West, for real. You know the type. Don't step on my lawn, blah, blah, blah. She would blame me for the ground moles in her yard saying I brought them in with the new load of topsoil I put in my front yard. She would call the police because I left my garage door up so all the neighbors (just her) could see "all that junk in there." She was so tight with her money that she never updated the inside of her house. Built in the 1940's she never replaced the carpet, never painted a wall, never put in new kitchen counters, etc. She ate a can of peas and a scoop of neopolitan ice cream for her ONE meal a day. What a character. She passed away at age 90 and her house is now the neighborhood playground. She is truly rolling over in her grave.

When I moved in, all of my neighbors told me that the lady across the street was crazy and to avoid her. After meeting them all, I think they are all crazy, and the one who they claimed was crazy is the nicest person on the block.
