Congratulations, to both of you! I was going to say a-z additions, but day late and dollar short...... Four boys here, 38-21, that brings back some memories. Enjoy!!!!! Get some more rest, you will need it.....
Be safe and have fun, Gary

WOW those are good weights for twins! Both of my children were smaller than that 6# 1 oz and 5# 3 oz. And we only baked 1 at a time 3 years apart!

Congrats!

Hey, I was thinking about this and I know a guy that does tattoos. We could have them put a little termite on one's foot and maybe a little tree on the other's foot. You choose which gets which.

I knew twins in college (girls). One of them had a tiny blue dot tattooed on the arch of her foot. She alleged this was done when she was an infant in order to tell her and her sister apart.

hahaha. My father in law suggested earrings. I'm surrounded my sarcastics! One gets a crew-cut, the other gets a shorter crew-cut.

I'm just glad you're not thinking along the lines of two different colors of nail polish. lol

Seriously though, can you and your wife tell them apart yet? Without looking at the little wrist bands?

and if your wife says she can, switch the hats when she isn't looking and see if she really can tell the difference.

Gma2rjc, I assure you that we have absolutely no way of telling them apart visually. The nursery sent them back from a bath without their hats with their names on them and we had to reference the bracelet numbers to tell who was who. I took a pen and personalized the new hats. We've looked them over and they're indistinguishable. No moles, no birthmarks, no different direction of their hair...Nothing! That being said, they're two totally different characters. Zack gets really wound up really easily, and was the same way in the womb. He'd get the hiccups in utero and completely freak out. Alex is a lot more mellow, at least with hiccups. And he is a bit more easy going at feeding time. When they're hungry neither one is mellow.

Their screams get me into a parental tizzy. Hopefully I become a little more immune. I keep telling myself they won't explode.

I'm a freakin' expert diaper changer and swaddler. My wife has had it good...She did the c-section so she has got to lay back while I deal with the poo. Not a bad deal for me I guess. The girl's a trooper.

.... You'll get a little more used to it every day and in no time they'll have you and your wife trained to know what they want and when they want it. True.

Your wife must be exhausted. It's nice that you're helping so much. I remember reading a sign that said, "The greatest thing a man can do for his children is love their mother". So you're already doing more for them than changing their diapers.

On the lighter side: How about a tattoo that looks like a birthmark? lol

Once when I was in the nursery there were twins. One was a boy and one was a girl.

I went over to check them over and I heard them talking! Seriously!

the lil girl said "I am a girl baby, but I dont know what that means"

The lil baby boy then Proclaims I am a Baby BOY!

the girl asked what was the difference.

Of course boys being the smarter sex- He had the answer!

"WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?" he said... with that he kicked off his covers to show the difference.

"LOOK"..................."BLUE BOOTIES"

sorry this doesn't help in your case

I am so happy for you. Definitely keep a camera with or near you at all times. My Dad was a royal pain in the ass when it came to camera equipment pointed at just about anything my sister and I did but it has been so funny to have all the snapshots, polaroids, movies and things later in life. And to answer your original question, what have you done? Something special and amazing and with a partner! When helping to create a museum of kids, I used to call the little ones the future famous. I guess I will stick with that for now.
