Stolen Fire Extinquishers

As a favor to some clients with commercial properties, I used to chase down whatever the fire department found and deal with exit lights, exit signs, recharging extinguishers and so forth. I was up on tall ladders painting for them anyhow?

I would get so frosted that some tenant would steal an extinguisher I wish I had thought of this solution which you must admit is blazingly brilliant and simple? You can get cheap locks at Big Lots for like $2 each? It will cost $16-20 to replace extinguisher that will pass fire code. You do the math.

Good idea but not real quick access to the extinguisher if it was needed in a hurry.

Stolen Fire Extinquishers

Just kidding of course. My clients do not have commercial tenants that steal fire extinguishers. I do try to second guess the fire department this time of year and sweep those out that are outdated.

I do the same in my own residence, hint, hint. Last time you all checked that thing under your sink was 1998?
