I think people also feel more at control driving than letting someone else fly a plane.

easier to trust your own ineptness than someone else's proficiency.

me, I'd probably love flying if it was not for the airports.

Now that I have my thread back....do not mention anything related to Politics, guns or religion....

When I posted the link, I was thinking more in terms of traffic statistics and things that I never would have thought of....

For example....the pass rate for the BAR exam in Montana is 89%...(highest) but 42% in California (Lowest). Considering that California has almost 2 lawyers for every cop.....I find that flabbergasting.
