So, You wanna calm the savage beast?

What if you want to bring him out? We all know music affects our mood. What do you listen to while your doing x?

I'll kick it off

Demo Day: Mother by Danzig

Drywall Finishing: Enya

End of the day: Learning To Fly by Pink Floyd

Interesting!!!
Demo - something "hot" and "heavy" - (Your choice!)
Framing - same.
D-Wall - same.
"End of the day" - same.
(The 3 groups you bring up - OK, by me!)!

"RF"

(Yes - nice "Hijack" - he, he, he!)
(That's cool - not only did you "Hijack" your own thread - you deleted your own "Hijack"!)
Most excellent!!

We always rocked out (is that even an appropriate term anymore) Then I walked in on a drywall finishing crew, real "Biker" types and they were listening to some classic soft rock of the 70's or something.

I tried it the next time I finished (although I draw the line at soft rock) and it really helps get past the little scratches and spills that drywall finishing entails.

I tend to throw things if I'm finishing without something relaxing....

Loreena McKennitt is another good one for Finishing and Painting

"Tunes on the job-site" ?!?
When I was running framing crews.
We were a diverse group of individuals.
We had a good radio/cassette-player.
Some of our members bought custom-mix tapes - everything.

"C and W", "Blues", "Jazz" "Rock", "Classical", "Reggae", "Heavy Metal", "Mariachi Bands" ....
Everything!!
Nobody really cared!
Something to break up the monotony!

OK - OK!!
That was probably, way before your time (Whipper-Snapper!)
Back in the day, when we had to climb 15,000 feet up the side of a
mountain - just to get to school!!!
We also, had to climb 15,000 feet up, to get back home!!!
(The down-hill run was a little, easier, though

Before you sit there - with a dismissive, smug, expression on your face!
(Thinking, to yourself - "Big Deal"!)
We also, had to fight off the "Dinosaurs" - on the way!!!
(That "T-Rex" - ain't very, friendly!)

By the way -
Cassette-player - "8-Track"-player on "steroids"!
So There!!

"RF" -
or: as my friends call me -
"Dumb-A$$"!

I love lots of different music, as you said for different moods. I agree about Loreena...The mummery is my fav. Here's some of my current fav's. All can be viewed on Youtube These are great choices in which to give him his ring back. haha

Linkin Park Waiting for the End
Gotye Somebody that I used to know (getting to much airtime so Im getting sick of it)
Hallelujah Jeff Buckley"s version is my fav
Never ending white light The Grace
Arcade Fire Ready to start
Metallica Unforgiven

that truely is a tough comparison because even though it's the same song it seems to have 2different meanings depending on who is singing it

here's one from Damian Rice that's a contender
