So You Subscribed

to a magazine that seems like it would be fairly decent reading and you'll be receiving 12 issues . But upon receiving it you discover that to complete each sentence you must turn the page because the last few words ( or word ) of each sentence are to be found there . Would you re-subscribe when the subscription ended ?

Yes
Possibly
Definitely not

Nipping on some egg nog?

I would renew it just to have a weird magazine----

Has your account been hijacked?

Assuming you are serious in asking the question? If it really bothered me, I wouldn't even suffer through it for a year. I would just cancel the subscription and tell them to stop billing me.

I guess it would depend on whether the magazine's overall content were worth putting up with what sounds like terrible print editing, typesetting, layout and design. Sadly we have now trained a generation or two of digital designers that are near incapable of producing anything for print! They cannot convert anything to embroidery stitching or screen printing either.

The fact of the matter is I get most everything online now anyhow. As more and more people shy away from printed magazines, what advertisers they have left support fewer and fewer meaningful editorial pages.

Now THAT'S a bizarre question. Each sentence? How many pages are there in the magazine? 5,000? That's a lot of blank space on a page unless the font is like, 96 or something.

I would take the first copy, throw it in the garbage, or start a bonfire with it, and cancel the subscription.

Only a partial sentence on a page?

If it was a Sesame Street magazine or Ranger Rick, I might re-subscribe.

I love those kind of... I mean, the grandkids love those kinds of magazines.

OH, I failed to mention one other quirk about this subscription. Some of the pictures are rotated 90 and in the worst cases a portion of the picture is on the next page.

Is this an online magazine, or paper? Either way, the answer is ADVERTISING! You have to turn the page to finish the sentence, so therefore you will see (and hopefully respond to) more ads. Period.

Are the pages of this magazine stapled in the center, or not held together at all? Is there a cover on this magazine?

Are the pictures in B&W or color?

Are the pictures "scantily clad women", that might make my decision easier? :whistling2:

If nothing else, you could always keep the magazine in the bathroom.... in case you run out of toilet paper. :pinch:
