That's common when installing floorcovering for retailers. You are told "just get it on the floor" If there is something wrong, we'll worry about it later. And do not talk to the customer about flaws or you won't work for us again.

What kind of BS policy is that.

Bought my husband a tool chest he loved there right after Thanksgiving for christmas. We did not open it right away wanted to surprise him.
Oh he was surprised all right. Both the top and bottom box were damaged. Took them back.
Sears replaced them. Before loading them they opened the boxes and both us and the guy loading them looked them over for damage.

I had also bought him a compound miter saw for his birthday. He finally took it out of the box like 2 months later and realized that was not the one he wanted.
He took it back and they had the one he wanted on sale for the same price so they just exchanged them.
Some are good and some are bad.

The local Sears guy has told me that some of the things on the ads, he can't get. Not available from the warehouse. Makes for some unhappy customers.

Yes. The ratchets are sloppy. Return it and they give you one, just as sloppy. I have a real old fine tooth one from their old, pro line. Its great. Naturally its no longer available.

Another thing about sears that makes me laugh is they will put something "on sale"... for the same price! WTF LOL! They do this all the time.
