Rock Music Brought Me Back to This Site

The real reason I am back is because I think it absolutely shameful Bieber cannot sell tickets. As most of you know, I grew up with the San Francisco scene and most of my bands did not live.

But if I were into say British bands still selling out concerts? Rolling Stones USA tour sold out in minutes. We all know that Keith Richards cannot still be alive and only Mick's lips are injected to make him look newer than 69 this year?

David Bowie just brought a new album out (really sucks). Clapton has a new one too (I don't like it but it might make it).

I am sorry folks, but even the rockstars of our generation should just step aside to give room for the Biebers of the next generation. Please support me in my efforts to force retirement of rocks stars like we do members of Congress. 69 is too old to be selling out rock concerts. It is just not right.

I hear your pain fellow music lover.

While we need not listen to the likes of Bieber, we do not have to be stuck listening to the same old great tunes that we did in the 70's...over and over and over...

I am the self proclaimed queen of current alternative music.. There is a ton of great stuff being released all the time !!

As soon as Bieber learns to pull his pants up, keep his shirt on, and like an adult, his teenie bopping groupies will leave him high and dry.

We just hope and wish we had the energy to even think about doing a world tour when we hit 100 like the Stones.

As long as Jimmy Buffett, U2 and Fleetwood Mac continues to tour, I will survive!

I think the beib's is on a slippery slope,...I wish he would take Drake with him...

Best show I ever saw was Bono in the 90's...maybe ten rows back...

I do NOT consider him a hasbeen.

I don't know if we'll see what happened in music -
the way it did in the 60's - 70's.
Good music ain't dead -though!

Good to see you back here!
Happy Easter!

One of the great holes in my education is I have never been to a rock concert so I really don't have an opinion here.

Just wanted to say welcome back.

Their is songs that everyone in the world should listen too at least one time. The guy I buy my weed off of has me listen to the very latest and greatest up and coming music each week. I have to admit, a good deal of it I like.

I love the latest and greatest up and coming music. Maybe you could post your dealers address and I could go over and he could play some tunes for me.

Careful creeper! :)
(You are talking about a car dealer - aren't you?!?)
Are you talking about "Stone Cold Fever" by Humble Pie?!? :)

I think part of the reason everyone thinks good music is gone is the way the corporate owned radio stations work. In the old days, the dj's actually got to play what they wanted and you heard a lot of the new music when it came out. Now they play the same songs all the time and call it classic rock, all preprogrammed for the advertisers. Nowadays, I listen to a lot of music on Pandora. I also notice a lot of good stuff when watching shows like 'Sons of Anarchy'. When I check the playlists for each episode, they're mostly newer bands and singers I've never heard of. You can find them all on utube. Some pretty awesome stuff you'll never hear on the radio.
