As we get older we sometimes begin to doubt our ability to "make a difference" in the world. It is at these times that our hopes are boosted by the remarkable achievements of other "seniors" who have found the courage to take on challenges that would make many of us wither.
Harold Sclumberg is such a person
He reports "I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired'? Well. I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine."

We have the "rule" of ninety where I work.

Once you hit ninety you can retire.

Pfft.... I work in a fabrication shop. The place has been open for over 40 years. No one.... I mean Noooo one has ever retired that spent there whole life in the shop. They either quit, get moved to sales or something, or get fired. I have to get out of there sooooon. :O

If you are not happy where your work, retire and do something that you enjoy. As a self employed remodeler for 25 yrs, I love my job and will likely be found dead on the job. I don't really wish that on any of my customers, but that is the reality of things. I thought about retiring once, but said, "from what?????". Besides, Osama and Obama have taken care of my retirement funds.
