Really Deep Thoughts
 

Is any one else sick and old enough to remember the best of Deep Thoughts on television and of course in great books, by Jack Handey?

My all time fave may be the account of how he and his wife stayed up almost all night making chicken wings to feed to the dolphins at the marine park. When they got there they were told they couldn't feed them to the dolphins because they only eat fish. "Well sure, if that is all you ever offer them!"

My second favorite is how if you are ever on a spaceship to the moon with your dog you should probably not open the window because your dog could get a really bad sunburn hanging its head and tongue out the way dogs do.

Some would say Jack Handey was and probably still is just plain and simple? Out of touch.

I am sorry, it is black humor and sick but what would happen to a certain presidential candidate if aircraft windows did open as he now wants? I think it depends on the window treatments myself. He already has a machine tan.

Think they ran on SNL or one of those for a time.

I love "Deep Thoughts". The humor wasn't obvious and sometimes you had to think about it first - which makes it even better.
