Price check

Hey a quick price check question. I just got a quote to replace two outside faucets and two shutoffs inside the basement. The price was $225. I'm in northern NJ if that helps any. Keep in mind these are replacements they are old and the shutoffs leak whenever I open or close them. Anyone with knowledge of pricing that could let me know would be great.

I have nothing to base this on other than what I would be happy paying but that seems pretty cheap to me. Thanks

Probably at least $15 per faucet and valve material cost. You are paying for a service call and the installers time, so that's probably pretty decent price. May not seem like it when you see how easy it is, but you are paying for what he knows, not what he does. I would imagine his hourly rate to be around $75 per hour. Unless he owns the company, he isn't getting all that money. The boss is paying for the vehicle, insurances and fuel, plus the cost of maintaining his tools.

EXTREMELY good price. In fact, I dont see how the guy is making enough $$$ to cover his overhead at that price.
