Depends on what you're using to power them. Water powered mills have existed in one form or another for a couple thousand years. Horse powered equipment too. Wind powered mills since the medieval times.

I worked with a guy who used/tested the first sawzall in the 70's. he said it was 20 some pounds and all aluminum, heavy duty.
