Pool pump

My pool pump has gone extremely loud. Could it be the bearing that's causing it?

Yes it's a bearing. Do you have a leak at the pump?

Thanks for your reply. No, the pump doesn't have a leak. It's only 2 yrs old. The sound is just so annoying. Any tips on how to dismantle and remove the bearing?

In order to replace the bearing you have to have a puller and the right size bearing press/driver. If you have a electric motor shop near you I'd recommend taking the pump/motor to them and paying the $ to have it done. I say this because you will spent $50 on tools and parts and a repair shop will get it done for roughly the same price and return it to you the same day.
