i give up. you guys have taken the zest from my life.

although if I were to continue the argument , most forums have a private section where only us members can view and talk in. what's wrong with that?

ah heck, never mind, you old hags.

nothing is "up" with me. I just think that we all should reserve the right to talk, debate and when push comes to shove argue about certain topics. this site above all shows the most respect from one to another, why I can't stand to think we can't be better than simply, "no political or gun threads."

that's simply un-American, not who we are. and we are friends, plain and simple. no one else (all you) I'd feel secure in speaking my mind to, that's all.

but to simply dictator a "no this and that" I find demeaning to us as a forum, as men.

we've spent enough time on here knowing of one another, knowing the rules, respecting one another, knowing each other's and the forum's limitations. I think I speak for us all when I say we can handle respectful even if heated debate amongst ourselves.

it's belittling to deem us not men enough to know the difference, to apparently not know of our personalities as long time members and cohorts in diy, to not know we mean each other no harm.

we are men, we can and should be able to handle ourselves as such, and we do. moderate those who you do not know of, not us friends.

But why? This is diy and we come here for diy entertainment.
I can think of many funny or useful post to create, without making up a post that may be hurtful to another.

Honestly, I was sorry to hear that someone posted here that they shot someone in another thread.
I then read the thread, and thought they were a ..... for using a bb gun.
Would be a sad day for me if I had to shoot someone, would not be with a bb gun and the next step would be a funeral and condolences to family.
I would feel ashamed and wonder if there was some way I could have avoided it, at what cost would I go to to prevent myself from shooting and killing someone ... Doc, grow up and a pair while you are at it.

Really, you shot some mentally disabled person with a bb gun and want to post about it?
I assure you I do not think you adult enough to talk politics.

see, you have something to say about my incident. we should be able to talk about it. but to answer your question, yes, I did, but only until we were face to face after he had threatened me and I took action at first chance of being alone with him and thus during our stand off is when I walked away due to me feeling sorry for him. after that is when he broke into my truck.

you'd have to be in my shoes. he's not mental, he's just, well, used to getting his way, talking down and causing fear in the hearts of neighbors. That did not nor ever will fly with me. He's not that dumb, he know's the next time he talks I will put him down.

and I look forward to it.

and I will put him down not with a bullet but with my hands. make no mistake, I will teach him that the world as he knows it thus far is not his oyster.

and I apologize again, I do not want to know or hear your political or religious beliefs.
If you shot them, I hope you had a true aim and did it within 6 shots and they are dead, I assume is why you shot them.

Never hurts to have a fun thread, I see nothing fun about this thread.
I as a moderator myself see this issue as such a explosive area and I would not want to be involved with it.
I totally back the original poster of this thread and what their intentions are.
