I agree with the others, there are other sites for your political beliefs.

Even though we are talking about off topic category and as long as it is clean and family friendly, should be acceptable.

On the other hand, politics and religion to me are personal. I do not wish to share with you my thoughts on these matters, I do not care what your thoughts are on them.
What I do wish to share is good conversation, jokes, knowledge we have learned over the years. Lend a helping hand when I can, raise a hand up for help when needed.

I care as much about your political beliefs, as I care about if you have a brown racing stripe in your underwear .... I do not want to know!

If you farted this morning and was just a little bit juicier then you expected, keep it to yourself, If you have a political thought, I do not want to hear it, I have my own racing stripe.

^ Funfool, that would be a great disclaimer for Facebook to post on their site.

No more discussions about "guns"?!?

Does that mean I can't talk about my "caulk-gun"!?!
(It never seems to do exactly what I want it to do!)

Darn!!!

I guess nail guns are out too. And no 'liberal' amounts of caulk out of your gun.

Ya know....this could be fun....seeing how close we can get to the g & p topics without really going to those topics.....oh, the mods are going to hate us....

Where is creeper when you need him....I mean her....

my thinking is, "what, we're not adults here?" that's what you are asking us not to be.

I have the best conversations and thus the highest respect for this site's members. when allowed to, of course.

come on now, no one is hurting anyone with adult conversation. let's not add to the decline of western civilization by not allowing civilized debate.

If you say things a child shouldn't hear it shouldn't be said here.

children do not work in the trades. a child can not help a home owner or one of us as they are but mere children. you don't take a child to a job site, do you? I know what you're saying, Jim. but let's not forget a child has their time and place. on a job site is not one of them. so it's parental guidance, to each their own, in which a child is or is not allowed to view an adult conversation.

we are tried and true adults, working men and women, on here. let's not downplay that fact. we bleed for our trade, for our children, not vice versa.

adult is the only word I can come up with. perhaps maybe a forum for adults only, one that can not be seen by mere visitors or children?

Sport, this site is read in our homes not on the job site, we do not run our grand kids out of the room just so we can read on this site and we aren't going to start. If it isn't appropriate for our grand kids to read or see, you can bet it won't last here.

Doc. Membership of this board/forum is open to people as young as 13. Plus a member can be in their computer room and their child of 7 or 8 may come in to ask them a question and see what is posted. Most members are at their homes while they are posting and reading here. This is NOT an informal job site, and can not be treated as such.
