A new theory on how us and the world came to be

Any idea what he said when the same thing happened in 1994?

No idea. The guy wasn't my friend back then.

Harold Camping - in 1994 - basically said, "Ummm... Ooops, I had one minor calculation wrong." Then he went on and said it was something else he was talking about. End of the Church Age, or something like that.

Frankly, it boggles my mind to think that he'll have ANY followers after this May 21st thing. But he will.

His "friends" have donated $117 million to his "cult".

I'm not sure exactly how much, but I know it's a lot! I thought I read something about $200 million plus.

I can think of a LOT of more worthy "missions" that money could have gone to.

Personally, I think eschatological predictions are a pretty negative way of investing the time you do have here on Earth.

Dang - a 6-syllable word! You da man!

Actually, I completely agree. Yesterday, at the church I'm a part of, the guys did a FREE Neighborhood Bike Clinic. We're not inner-city, but close. We did everything from airing up tires, to major rebuilds, for hundreds of kids' & adults' bikes. The ladies served hot dogs, chips & ice-cold water. People of all races & ages, and both genders, just having a good time. A big step in slowly transforming a bunch of people living in the same area, into a true neighborhood.

Beats the heck out of slaving over a calculator, and trying to come up with mathematical equations from the Bible.

This is what happens when we put our faith in a man instead of God. This will only help to further negative stereotypes against all "Christians"

Well, probably. But nothing's really changed there from May 20th to May 22nd.

Anyone who wants to say this is all due to the Christian thing of following a man won't know anyway that the book specifically says NOT to follow a man. That's never going to change.
