New shower drain to old pipes

I am planning to redo my shower pan liner and a plumber said I need him to attach the plastic drain to the old pipe before the trap. Looking at approx six inch pipe. He estimates this will cost $200-300. Sounds like a lot of money for a small job. What do you think?

i think if you don't like it, get another estimate. If they all say 2-300, then obviously its not too high.
