New Construction ---- Rooms not SQUARE!

We have had many probs with our new house from cracked concrete, unlevel floors, leaking windows..etc... I went into the bathroom the other day and noticed the linoleum looked crooked against the tub so I pulled out the tape measure and measured.... 145 3/16 corner to corner and 146 7/16 corner to corner. I went to every other room and noticed that not one room is square... Am I nitpicking or is this shoddy framing? What will be the effects of this (besides me knowing)? I know nothing can be done but wtf?

Sounds like you have it figured out.
Not much can be done at this point expect don't use lino with straight lines that highlight the out of square.

I'm betting the concrete foundation is out of square also. No major deal, you have what you have. I always check the rooms after I snap out for them before framing to correct, if needed. The kitchen, laundry, baths, furnace and some hallways/others need to be square or at least close for the vinyl/wood flooring. Bedrooms too, sometimes (usually carpeted- easy to purposely leave out of sq. so other rooms are) --- that doesn't leave a lot of working area to fix in. Always square the kitchen and baths-----the most visible rooms as you noticed. Jl said it above....
