Nebraska Passtime

Next to cow-tippin the best form of summertime entertainment around here is Demolition Derbys.

Keep your eye on the black car with the blue #27 on the top. The owner/driver of that car is my sons shop teacher.

Nebraska Passtime

It looks like something that would be fun to try. And it could be the perfect hobby for someone who has problems with --road rage--.

Nebraska Passtime

Man, that looks like fun, your son's teacher was pretty good out there.

You being from Nebraska reminded me of a fellow I was in the Navy with named Manis, from Nebraska. He wasn't tall and he wasn't fat but that boy was one solid muscle. Manis was like some others of us, a plow boy and tough as nails. Manis was a real easy going guy kinda soft spoken.

One ole boy from up north east started picking on Manis one day and Manis kept telling him to go on. We were going through school in Philly for Catapults and arresting gear and the barracks were back to back and formed an open area between barracks. There were double doors on each building which had the thick glass with chicken wire in them.

Well it got to the boiling point and the big guy told Manis to meet him outside between the buildings. A bunch of us went out there and we were afraid Manis was fixin to get whooped. We all got out there and the big guy cussed Manis and Manis popped him one time, the big guy's head hit the double doors so hard it busted the heavy glass, the big dude hit the ground, out cold as a wedge. No one picked on Manis any more.
