My Rant For The Day--Junk Mail

I moved about a year ago and still receive mail addressed to my oldest son who hasn't lived with me in over 10 years and three address changes

Yes-- I have used gmail for about two years and I receive an average of Three per day. I don't know if it would be better for you but it sure cut mine down

I'm also a big fan of stuffing random mail into the envelopes and mailing them back to the credit card companies. Sometimes I even use newspaper.

The only bank I 100% will NEVER do business with even if it meant saving money is Chase. I get an average of 1 credit card offer every 3 days from chase. This is more than 3x as many as any other company.

You can save yourself some time though. If you have one of those high capacity shredders that can shred a couple of pages at a time- this means just tossing the envelope in the shredder without opening it.

I automatically shred any envelope without opening it when it says on it:

"Urgent!"
"Do not discard!"
"Time sensitive information enclosed!"
"Important information inside!"

Haven't these people ever received anything important in the mail??? It comes in white plain nondescript envelopes haha.

It is ridiculous. They should have to pay some type of environmental fine or something. Do they really think that harassing me with spam is going to make me suddenly open one and accept a horrible APR on a useless card?

I think between chase and the humane society the post office is fully funded.

Something to know about pre-approved CC....for every one you receive (if its the real thing) there is a credit investigation done, do your self a favor, read the fine print on the back of the offer, call as well as mail your denial of the offer, the letter needs to request the removal the credit investigation mark from your report. You do this to all cards like this and they will stop....
