My new phone is...

I just can't believe it. The young girl who was working the counter didn't tell me anything about the sd card nor did she install it in the phone and what really irritates me is that she knew I knew nothing about these phones, I told her I was coming from an old flip phone without internet or anything and I didn't know how to operate this thing. I asked some guys last night about my phone and the card and they opened it and found it doesn't have one in it. The storage is that of the phone, it's just saying it's the sd card, so...

..I went to the orginal store that I purchased the phone from today and the guy there said it does have one. HUH? He opens it up and finds that indeed there is not one in it. He said that a 2 gig sd card that can hold around 4000 pictures was in it's own box within the box that the phone was in.

I have long since thrown that box out.

I just can't believe it.

Wow, sorry to hear that. 8Gb are very reasonable. You may want to put more on the phone than pictures. Phone should be able to shoot video.

It does film digital video.

I guess I'm going to the store manager and telling him the situation and see if he gives me a card. If not, I'll purchase one elsewhere. I was told a 4 gig is around $30.

Ack. I just now bought a 4 gig micro card with pc adapter for $10.

I upgraded my memory in my lap top not too long ago from a 2 to a 4 and all of the hundreds of pictures I've taken since then and stored to photobucket hasn't even made a dent in the dent of the dent so I think I'm good.

Does photobucket count as storage on a computer when it comes to gigs? I'm soo, soo not good with electronics.

I now have a new problem. I put the sd card in the phone and took some pics but they're not showing up on my photobucket account. Before the card with just the phone, yes. Card, no.

Please help.

ps, I did look on the settings for the phone and it shows the available space of the card so it is reading it and working.

Haven't used photobucket before. May have setting for source of pictures. May still be set for "phone." Check photobucket settings.

I downloaded Adobe Photoshop express and it searches entire phone. It may be as simple as a setting. Since you used it without an SD card it may just not know to look for it.

Geez, I'm such a dummy. Would having the phone's data and wi-fi turned off have something to do with it? I hit the photobucket app and it couldn't reach the site and that's when I remembered I turned everything off, uses a lot of battery, especially the navigation which I use daily.

Now I'm connected but the pics still aren't there.

Chris, thanks for all of your help, man. It did just instantly download the pics from the phone to photobucket. I guess it was the internet connection, or lack thereof rather.

I appreciate it.

Here's a few pics of my girls.

Pumpkin. Somewhere in the range of 8 years old. I've had her since she was a stray puppy on the side of the street, about the size of her head now.

Duchess, born on Thanksgiving Day, 2010.

Glad I could help. Great pics. Scary where technology has gone in a few years.
