My new phone is...

..driving me crazy. It's a Huawei Ascend II, 3G Android Smartphone, and I started a gmail account on it and apparently I need to be logged in on the internet through that account from my lap top to be able to download pics (I talked to a support person today) I've taken with the phone, trying to upload to photobucket so I can then post them. Thing is, there is no record of my gmail.com account when I type it into the address bar. I hit the upload button on photobucket with the phone plugged in to the usb port on the lap top and it sees the phone (as removable storage) but I can't get anything from it, "no matches found".

I have the gmail account on my phone and it'll log me in with just touching the gmail icon thing but when I go to google and try and log in on my lap top, nothing. I was told by service that this is what I need to do in the first place to be able to upload these pics from the phone.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

I honestly don't know what version. When I bought it they said it was the newest of the 3g upgrades. It has a 5 megapixel digital camera, video, voice activated everything such as searching for places and navigation, compass, tons of apps already on it, etc, etc,. This thing could drive my truck and do laundry at the same time.

I came from a flip phone without internet or any bells or whistles so it feels like I'm piloting the Starship Enterprise everytime I turn this one on and use it.

I got somewhere, I think. Waiting on a reply e-mail from google for my records and password for that account. I tried to create another account and used my e-mail address and this time it said that that e-mail was already associated with that account. It didn't say that before in the e-mail I've already recieved from google concerning the gmail account.

Freak me.

from my lap top? could you explain step by step, please? if I don't respond immediately then I've passed out for the night, I'm thoroughly exhausted but thanks for the help and I'll be back tomorrow evening.

I do plan on stopping in the store I bought it from, too, tomorrow so hopefully I'll get this squared away soon.

thanks again.

It's even easier then that! On your phone Go to Android Market. The white shopping bag with green bug looking thing on it and search for Photobucket. There is a free app that lets you direct upload.

What is the file size of the photo(s)? Also if you are taking the pictures with the phone make sure the pictures are being saved to the SD card. My phone can take images that are 5 Mb each! Another thing is use a USB card reader and verify the integrity of the SD card. Make sure it does have the size that's marked on it. There are a bunch of knock offs running around.
