My aluminum Magliner dolley broke
Trying to replace this stolen condenser which the bottom plate was riveted down into the concrete resulted in me breaking my dolley but have no fear, my old sign shop welded it back. Good as new! Not, but good enough.
Thank you, thank you very much.

My aluminum Magliner dolley broke
I just got hired on yesterday from a guy I contacted through craigslist last month to do sub contract installs. He merged his hvac company with some kind of home renovation/improvement company and that is all I will be doing, replacing stolen condensers and other equipment through the insurance company that he's now related to. This job today was the first one. I had no crow bar and not enough acetylene and oxygen to burn the rivets off so I tried to pry it up with my dolley which broke.
Yup, it was fast weld from my old boss. Not the best but definitely not the worst. He was really busy so did a quick job of it. It'll work, I hope. I'll find out tomorrow.
Lots of stolen equipment around here. I have three total condensers to install and one lineset by this weekend's end. All stolen. None of the homes are occupied (no electricity either) which makes it relatively easy for a thief to get their hands on the stuff.
Hey, it's more work for me!!

And lookey, the condenser easily fits into my mini van, thank The Lord!! I sold my van and my truck so this is all I have for now. I was worried this morning when I went to pick it up, this is the first condenser I've ever had in there.

The thieves hit a church in my area.
(A church!!??)
Stole the outside unit.
2500 to 5000 dollars! (Minimum!)
What!?!
It's a church!!!
(I'm not talking about the cost to replace it - it's a "friggin", church!!)

The people who buy this stuff are as bad or worse than the actual theives, if they were to put a stop to the buyers then the theives would not have any incentive.

My aluminum Magliner dolley broke
And the conclusion. Now if it gets stolen tonight than that's their problem all over again. Not sure why they don't have a welder come and build a cage for the replacement, or original for that matter, equipment. This one isn't riveted down so it's even easier to steal but oh well, my job is done.
