Memorial Weekend Reminder

Just in case you forgot what it was about...

Tomorrow my sons and I will be with the scout pack to put flags on the graves of those who served....

Memorial Weekend Reminder

And selfishly, let us also remember those who did not serve in the US Military but did in some branch of US Intelligence, perhaps not one you have ever heard about, as service to our country, perhaps drawing maps and charting the way. They died too. Unnoticed and often without grave markers. Same cause. Our freedom that in spite of hiccups remains pretty solid when you think about it.

Let us remember some are still out there working for us without US military or even State Department support. Yes, in strange and clandestine ways at times. Not all packing guns with silencers or acting out spy novels with messages hidden under park benches. Sometimes alone. Sometimes in groups. Seldom as large trained militias. Please remember their losses too?

Memorial Weekend Reminder

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Lest we forget. Thanks to ALL who served no matter what capacity.

They did fine....actually spent the time to read some of the head stones....

I wish I had taken a pic of all the flags before we left...there were a lot of flags out there.
