When I was a teen, we had to drive to Kansas to buy Coors. And that line about Coors always being cold, at that time liquor stores in Kansas could not sell cold beer, but Coors was one of their biggest sellers.

Cannot compete with Iron City beer. Or Rheingold. Or Ballantine. Or Braumeister, Meisterbrau, or any of the other horrible, cheap beers I used to drink in my youth.

Katz drug stores in KC had their own Katz beer @ .99 a 6 pack. It was nasty but cheap.

Walgreen's is supposed to be pretty good. It even beat out Bud Light, when the St. Louis Post Dispatch had a tasting against In-bev's so called Bud brand.

Have had the light. Hard to get the Black & Tan or Porter. I need to go out that way next time another buddy of mine is in Raleigh Durham, so we can hit the bar district in Raleigh, after a baseball game.

I've got to admit, I've never appreciated the craze over this beer, even though I've drank it in the past, but that's probably because it seems sac-religious to import beer into the Milwaukee area. We literally have thousands of local beer choices here..............
