Labor/material costs for replacing toilet flange
I brought a plumber in to replace a toilet. I could do it myself (and have), but just had a baby and am pretty jammed up with that.
I supplied the new toilet. The plumber removed the old (which was easy, given the rotten bolts). He indicated the flange was broken and would need to be replaced. All told, he spent less than two hours on the project and charged me the following flat rates.
1. $260 for installing the toilet
2. $410 for replacing the flange
I'm stunned by the flange cost. Average this out to an hourly rate and i'm paying him lawyer fees. Is this too much for the flange.
The bathroom is on the ground floor on slab.
Thanks in advance.
