Kudos to the Moderators!

As well as the good folks who offer their advice on these boards. I gotta admit though, I don't know how you do it. Just for Sxxxx and grins, my wife and I sat and watched the posts roll in over the weekend(using a feed reader) and we've been rolling! Yeah, I know boring life, eh? Sure enough we watched a lot of honest questions come in, and a few misguided souls in need of direction, but some of the things we read (My hose doesn't work) comes to mind, just floored us. How do ya'll do it? I worked in CS for a little while, and got transferred out because I used the stock reply "RTFM" just a few too many times. I just gotta know how ya'll deal with it.
Most respectfully(and still chuckling)

OK, who did what now? We try to moderate with a modicum of wisdom and a tidbit of humor, albeit we do not always see every infraction, therefore we rely on you members to keep us posted. Did we miss something?

20 reported posts waiting for me to clean up this morning over coffee. Which one(s) are you referring to?

I was really referring to the obvious "troll" messages. They're, for the most part, hilarious. The spam/scam messages I see are flagged in the suggested manner. Like I said in the OP, the wife and I were pretty bored this weekend.

Actually that tag came from(or referred to) an old friend that sort of apprenticed me into industrial maintenance. The bottom drawer of his roll-around was filled with hammers, mallets and bonkers of all sizes and descriptions. He called it his "Final Solution File".

See...! I learn something everyday. Even if it's just small stuff.

So...that red button in the lower left corner is an alert button for us?

How's that work?

DangerMouse 04-04-2011 08:27 AM

Hit it and a new page opens to report spam and abuse.
(which luckily for us is more the former rather than the latter.)

DM

tcleve4911 04-04-2011 08:34 AM

and is bad advice considered abuse?

DangerMouse 04-04-2011 08:37 AM

Bad/dangerous advise can and should always be reported. Even if it's ME posting it.

(Ok, ESPECIALLY if it's me!)
